Thank you for your interest in Movement and Music with Chelsea Shepherd and Saint Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church. As a musical and community-oriented church, it's a joy to offer opportunities for community-building, family bonding, and resources to families.

This offering is designed for infants-preschool.

If you have questions about getting involved at Saint Philip's please contact Mtr. Taylor Devine, Associate Rector for Intergenerational Ministries at taylor.devine@stphilipstucson.org.

Our sessions will explore the seasons in nature and the church year. It is not required that you be Christian to attend, or intesested in further involvement at Saint Philip's, but we hope you'll feel welcome and bring a friend.

Three of our sessions will take place in the church (October, February and March). This is due in part to scheduling conflicts with the Saint Nicholas Center, and in part to offer practical support to those who are practicing "parenting in the pew." Chelsea will share some skills for those moments of quiet engagement in church and other settings.

Following Rhythm&Rhyme you are welcome to stay and play and chat in the Children's Courtyard outside of the Saint Nicholas Center. (If you bring snacks please be allergy conscious; all the major ones exist in our general community and the preschool community).

Starting in October, we will host some informal conversation for those interested about the Charlotte Mason method. We encourage home educators or those who participate in hybrid education settings, or those simply curious about her educational philosophy to attend.

If you are interested in this please select "yes" below and we will send out a brief essay or podcast prior to the event.

Directions: The closest parking is on the Catalina mountain side of the church--at the north end of campus. You will see a large wrought iron gate propped open on the wall that says Douglas Children's Center.

Proceed down the stairs or ramp and take a left into the astroturf courtyard where you will see play equipment.

The Saint Nicholas Center (formerly the Children's Chapel) is to your left where you will see three sets of windowed doors.

PS Please be aware that in September and October there will be a large political group renting space on the Saint Philip's campus and lots of cars. This group is not affiliated with the congregation; it is an outside group that rents space from the church.
