In an act of civil disobedience, a group of women and their supporters organized their ordination to become Episcopal priests in 1974. The Church of the Advocate in Philadelphia welcomed them, but change was no small task. The women were harassed, some lost friends, and others were banned from stepping on church property.

This feature-length documentary film introduces the women who succeeded in building a movement that transformed an age-old institution, and challenged the very essence of patriarchy within Christendom.

Please help us plan by letting us know that you will attend at 2:00pm on Sunday, January 7, 2024. The screening is free of charge but goodwill donations will be accepted gratefully.
